About Us

S S Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (SSIMSRC) is a private medical college located in Davangere, Karnataka, India. The college offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in various specialties. The campus of SSIMSRC is spread over an area of 200 acres and has state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. The college has well-equipped lecture halls, laboratories, and libraries for students.

The hospital attached to the college has 1100 beds and provides healthcare services to the community. Apart from this, SSIMSRC has a special focus on providing healthcare services to the rural community. The college has adopted several villages in the surrounding areas, where medical camps are conducted regularly to provide free medical check-ups and treatments to people in need. All of this and more helps students with more experience and practical knowledge.

The admission process for MBBS courses in Karnataka is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). There are 19 Govt/12 Deemed & 28 Private medical colleges in Karnataka – which offer 9345 M.B.B.S Seats. Counseling will be done for both Govt. as well as Private.

There are a total 3 rounds in the Karnataka NEET UG counseling, initial 2 rounds will be conducted online and the last round is done offline. Which is also called the Mop-Up round.
