Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa is promoted by MOHAMMADIYA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY, a registered society in India. The area of operations of the society shall be initially confined to the Revenue limits of Kadapa district, and shall be extended to other places in Andhra Pradesh, as well as in other states in India in pursuance of its objectives. It belongs to AQJ – Group of Institutions.

The AQJ group was born in the year 1996. Since then, the group has made phenomenal progress in the field of education,. The group has grown in leaps and bounds as a result of which,they owns as many as 7 Colleges in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh. ADMISSION PROCESS

The admission process for MBBS courses in Andhra Pradesh is conducted by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada.

There are 12 Govt/1 AIIMS, 1 Deemed & 13 Private Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, which offer 5685 M.B.B.S Seats. Counseling will be done for both Govt. as well as Private. Whereas Deemed counseling will take place through MCC.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and should have secured a minimum of 50% marks (for general category candidates) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in aggregate.
For Govt. only students having a domicile of Andhra Pradesh will be able to participate. For Private medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh, both domicile and Non-domicile students can participate.

Library

Fathima Institute of medical sciences has an excellent library fully air-conditioned and well protected with fire alarms equipped reading halls are available for the benefit of students, faculties. As one of the best established libraries according to International Standards, the Library has a large collection of books covering various branches in Medical and Health Sciences and its related fields.

I.T Infrastructure

Fully air-conditioned computer halls with more than 30 terminals with internet facilities are available in central library. Students can accuses internet facility to down load the latest journals and latest reference books for academic learning. Journals Rooms Fully air conditioned with latest Foreign and Indian journals rooms is available in central library.

Laboratories
The college has departmental based laboratories facility for the students.

The college has the Well-furnished Classroom facility available on the campus.

Transport

The public conveyance facilities are excellent and this area is connected through A.P.State Road Transport Corporation which is running bus services to all the surrounding areas and neighbouring districts. The town of Kadapa has a rail line connecting surrounding areas and also other districts in the state. The railway line is Hyderabad – Tirupathi main line and also Chennai – Mumbai with important junctions like Renigunta and Guntakal Few express trains and many passenger trains are running on this line. Kadapa Railway station has computerized railway reservation system.

Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences – FIMS aims to provide placement assistance for all eligible students. Placement is a privilege extended to the students but can’t be claimed as a matter of right.
