Arunai Medical College And Hospital is a world class institute, situated in 100 acres of land located at the national high way ( Cuddalore – Chitoor high way) at Velu nagar, Thenmathur, Tiruvannamalai District, with a buildup area of 23.63 lakhs square feet. This Institute caters to the needs of the rural population in and around major Districts like Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Arani and Cuddalore. This institute is run by the Jeeva Educational Trust which has been in the field of education for more than a decade. This institute is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

- All the seats including NRI/Management Quota are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tamilnadu
- Selection is based on National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted on an all India basis by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
- Eligibilty
- INDIAN NATIONALS
- Candidate should have passed 12th standard, should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (taken together) and should have passed English as one of the subjects
- The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission
- FOREIGN NATIONALS, NON-RESIDENT INDIANS AND PEOPLE OF INDIAN ORIGIN
- The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on the31st December of the year of admission
- Candidate should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) and should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (taken together)
- Should have passed English as one of the subjects.
- 15% of the total admissions each year (23 seats)
- Should have documents to prove their NRI/FOREIGN status (Eg. passport, work permit, school certificate, etc.)
- Inward remittance certificate from the Reserve Bank of India.

The Institute has three Girls hostels [Air conditioned] and two Boys Hostels which are in all means home away from home. All rooms are well furnished and ventilated. Rooms are available in single, double & triple occupancy modes. Hygienic & Nutritious food is cooked on steam cooking facility and served in separate dining halls for Boys and Girls. Continuous treated drinking water facility caters to the inmates of the Campus.

Transport
The College has adequate buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the town and also from the various towns like Gingee, Dinidivanam, Vellore, Chengam, Mel Chengam, Villupuram, Arani, Tirukovilur, Avalurpettai, Polur, Moongilthuraipattu, Mothakal,Vaippur to the campus and back. All students should make use of the college transport or should stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.
All the buses reach the Campus before 8.05a.m., so that all the students and faculty can have their breakfast and get ready to attend the classes at 8.30a.m.
The buses leave the campus at 5.00p.m., which helps all the students to reach home early and safely.
For the benefit of those students who are attending special classes, using Internet facility, Library etc., special buses are arranged everyday which leave the campus at 5.45p.m.
