About Us

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS] was designed to serve as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspects of health and wellness program throughout India. AIIMS are a group of autonomous public medical institutes that have been declared by an Act of Parliament 1956 as “Institute of National Importance”. AIIMS Mangalagiri is one of the AIIMS healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

In 2018, AIIMS, Mangalagiri started functioning from a newly constructed, albeit temporary campus at Government Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada. In March 2019 OPD services was started in the Permanent campus at Mangalagiri, Guntur. Therafter AIIMS gradually moved into its designated campus as newly constructed .During the Lockdown during COVID19 pandemic, OPD services were supplemented with eParamarsh initiative for doorstep sample collection. For COVID19 positive pateints limted IPD services  started during 2020. In early part of 2021 limited IPD services for other patients have started.

The 2018 and 2019 MBBS batch of 50 students each started their first year in the temporary campus at Vijayawada. The 2020 batch of 125 MBBS students have started their academics in Mangalagiri from day 1.

Mission

The trinity of the mission of the Institute is:
(1) Education of diverse health professionals
(2) Research in biomedical sciences; and
(3) Patient care at the highest care level

Objectives

1. To develop pattern of teaching in under-graduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India.
   To bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all branches of health activities.
   3. To attain self-sufficiency in post-graduate medical education

AIIMS Mangalagiri Admissions 2023

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalagiri offers admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The candidates aspiring for the AIIMS Mangalagiri M.B.B.S. admissions must have qualified NEET and passed the class 12th examination with 60% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The NEET-qualified candidates must appear for counselling conducted by DGHS on behalf of the Medical Council Committee (MCC). The AIIMS Mangalagiri PG selection process is done based on the performance of the candidate in the INI-CET examination. Facilities

AIIMS Mangalagiri also provides a number of facilities for its students and staff with the aim to facilitate an easier and more comfortable campus life experience for them. Some of AIIMS Mangalagiri facilities include a library that is well-stocked with books, a cafeteria that serves tasty and healthy food, a hospital that provides round-the-clock services and has a first aid box, a guest house that is well-accommodated, among many other things. AIIMS Mangalagiri facilities also include sports facilities, laboratories and an auditorium.

Boys Hostel
AIIMS Mangalagiri has a hostel facility for boys. The hostel is well equipped with all the basic amenities. The rooms of the hostel are sufficiently spaced.

Girls Hostel
The institute has a separate girls hostel. The hostel is well-secured and has spacious rooms for comfortable accommodation of the students.

Library
AIIMS, Mangalagiri has a well-stocked library with the latest books, e-books, journals, magazines, among other things. The library has sufficient seating capacity as well.

Cafeteria
AIIMS, Mangalagiri facilities include a cafeteria that provides healthy food to students at pocket friendly rates.

Medical/Hospital
The institute has a facility for hospitals that takes care of the health of the students and staff at all times. The hospital is equipped with a first aid box that has all things of immediate requirement.

I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The students and teachers have easy access to the auditorium to conduct these events.

Laboratories
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The students can use these facilities for their studies and other academic activities.

Guest Room/Waiting Room
The institute has a guest house, well equipped with beds and cupboards for waiting parents and guardians.

Sports
The institute has facilities for sports that help students in taking active part in the co-curricular activities of the institute.

Smt. Maya Devi and Shri Kirpa Ram Kohli Educational Trust offer the ‘The AIIMSONIANS’ which is a scholarship to provide financial assistance to UG students of AIIMS. But to apply for this scholarship, you need to fulfill certain conditions: UG students of AIIMS are required to apply for this scholarship

Placement

The median salary for the 2 years, 3 years and 6 years PG programmes students at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for the batch of 2022 stood at Rs. 18 LPA, Rs. 40 LPA and Rs. 50 LPA respectively according to the data released by the NIRF.
