Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), a self-finance institution established by Nimra Educational Society a Muslim Minority Society registered in the year 1991.
The College is situated on the main national highway No- 9, Vijayawada to Hyderabad about- 17 Kms away from the traditional and capital city of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
The college has adopted a dynamic, global, high quality, creative and communicative approach in education.
The college aims at imparting high quality excellent medical education and has well equipped laboratories with state of art infrastructure and equipment, lecture theatre, Demonstration rooms, Dissection Hall, Histology lab, Central Research lab, Museum, Departmental library, Amphibian Laboratory, Mammalian Laboratory, Haematology Lab, Clinical Physiology Laboratory, Central Library, Computer Lab and is a Wi-Fi enabled campus.

Admission

The admission process for MBBS courses in Andhra Pradesh is conducted by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada.

There are 12 Govt/1 AIIMS, 1 Deemed & 13 Private Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, which offer 5685 M.B.B.S Seats. Counseling will be done for both Govt. as well as Private. Whereas Deemed counseling will take place through MCC.

In the year 2022 state counseling body introduced a new seat-sharing formula, which created a lot of stress on the students from other states who were looking for getting a medical seat in Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and should have secured a minimum of 50% marks (for general category candidates) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in aggregate.
For Govt. only students having a domicile of Andhra Pradesh will be able to participate. For Private medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh, both domicile and Non-domicile students can participate.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, the

Student should be an Indian citizen

Student should be admitted in B.Tech Programmes at the Institute of Technology

Additional Information

The scholarship will be renewed every year subject to the following conditions:

During the entire previous year the conduct of the student is good

The student should maintain merit and get PPI of 7.0 and above and should have passed all courses of study in the first attempt in the previous year

The student is not caught in unfair means in any of the examinations conducted either by the Institution or by the University

The student maintains full attendance except the absence with genuine reasons for which the permission of the HoI is obtained particularly in case of illness

Transportation

The College has a huge fleet of buses exclusively for the convenience of students. It provides seamless transportation facility for students in and around Vijayawada. APSRTC also runs direct bus services from all areas surrounding Vijayawada to the college campus. All the transportation process is directly monitored and supervised exclusively by the transport wing of the administrative office. The college employs only experienced bus drivers and conducts regular orientation programs on the guidelines laid by the college authorities for students

Placements

Approximately 90% of the students get placed. Students are offered higher amount of salary packages around 12 -24 LPA. Many medical institutions visit the campus for placements. Almost 100% of internships are offered to students.
