About Us

He is a renowned clinical Microbiologist and best UG and PG medical teacher, examiner and PhD guide from South India. He served as a member, Board of studies Dr.YSR UHS, Vijayawada and as external member for Board of Studies, SDUHER, KOLAR, KA. Completed his under graduation in the year 1993 from Kurnool Medical College, A.P. Awarded MD degree by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada in the year 1998. He joined as assistant Professor in department of Microbiology in the year 1998 and now heading the institute as Principal. He is a good academician and designed a very good curriculum for poor performers in the academics. He underwent NTTC training in Medical Education from JIPMER in the year 2007 subsequently trained in Advanced Course in Medical Education from St.Jhon’s Medical College Bangalore. His tremendous in the research field made him to publish 32 articles in various national and international Journals. He prepared a good, practically feasible manual for institutional hospital infection control and prevention practices and trained in HIC from JIPMER, Puducherry. Chairperson for institutional NAAC accreditation. His areas of interest are Emerging Antimicrobial resistance and Hospital infection control. He is an active member in Medical education trainings. He has served as judge for many scientific sessions in various conferences and Guest Speaker. He is the author for two text books one is Hospital Practice and Patient Care and the second one is Quick review of Medical Microbiology. He is guest speaker in conferences and CMEs to other Medical Colleges in the state and also at institute level. He received a prestigious ASIA PACIFIC EDUCATION EXCELLENCE AWARD for his outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education.

The members of institutional slow leaner and mentoring committee has been assembled in the presence of chairperson and discussed the following.

MBBS I and II year students has to divided into small groups comprising of 15-20 for each group.
Each gropu of students has to be taken care by a senior faculty from all the departments of I and II MBBS.
III MBBS students will be divided into small groups with the list of faculty obtained from the Medical superintendent.
Each student group will be informed to meet the their mentor for academic and any another personal problems related to their studies to discuss frequently.
Based on their discussion with the mentor the issues related to slow learning will be identified and to be acted accordingly

 Admission

Narayana Medical College Nellore

The admission process for MBBS courses in Andhra Pradesh is conducted by the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada.

There are 12 Govt/1 AIIMS, 1 Deemed & 13 Private Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, which offer 5685 M.B.B.S Seats. Counseling will be done for both Govt. as well as Private. Whereas Deemed counseling will take place through MCC.

In the year 2022 state counseling body introduced a new seat-sharing formula, which created a lot of stress on the students from other states who were looking for getting a medical seat in Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects and should have secured a minimum of 50% marks (for general category candidates) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in aggregate.
For Govt. only students having a domicile of Andhra Pradesh will be able to participate. For Private medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh, both domicile and Non-domicile students can participate.

Facilities
Narayana Medical College and Hospital, Chinthareddypalem provides excellent infrastructure and plenty of modern amenities on the campus for students. NMCH Nellore facilities include the library, laboratories, sports complexes, residential complexes, internet facilities, gardens and medical facilities for students. NMCH Nellore hostel facilities are provided for the safe and comfortable stay of students. NMCH Nellore sports facilities are available for the students. NMCH Nellore sports activities are managed by the Department of Physical Education.

Boys Hostel
The college provides accommodation to boys within the campus. The hostels are equipped with facilities like furniture, television, telephone, water supply, indoor games, and a common room. The hostels have a warden, caretakers/block supervisors.

Girls Hostel
The college provides girl’s hostel facilities for students inside the college campus. The hostels are well furnished with a mess facility. The hostels have a warden, caretaker and maintenance staff.

Medical/Hospital
The college provides multi-speciality medical facilities to students. The hospital is equipped with operation theatres, I.C.U.and skilled professionals. The medical facilities can be availed by students and staff members.

The college provides gym facilities with the latest equipment for students. The gym is provided within the campus for the physical fitness of students.

The college provides a well-furnished central library which was established in 1999. The library provides modern facilities and a stock of learning resources for students and staff. The library is located in the middle of the campus and consists of three floors. The library facilities include e-resources, OPAC Facility, DELNET for Resource sharing, Educational CD/DVD, Library webpage facility and many more.

Sports
NMCH Nellore sports facilities for indoor games include table tennis, carrom boards and chess. NMCH Nellore sports facilities for outdoor games include lawn tennis, basketball, volley and playground.

I.T Infrastructure
The college provides computer centre facilities with internet for students and staff members. The college also provides training to students to use IT facilities in an effective way.

The canteen is also available for students and staff inside the college campus. The canteen provides healthy and fresh food at affordable rates.

Placement

Narayana Medical College and Hospital, Chinthareddypalem provides facilities for clinical research to students. The NMCH placement cell manages the placement-related activities of the college. The college engages students in various committees for their learning and development. NMCH Nellore also has established the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) as per the Innovation Cell Ministry of Education, Government of India. The NMCH Nellore placement cell provides internships, placement and research opportunities to its students with well-known hospitals, companies and medical institutions. The institute is also the ICMR centre for clinical trials as a part of Indian Clinical Trial and Education network. The median salary offered to UG students was Rs 6,00,000 and median salary offered to PG students was Rs 13,00,000 during NMCH Nellore placements for the year 2022.
